The third generation are now at the helm of this diversified business in Central NSW, Australia.
PRODUCING what the customer wants has seen the Peffer family’s Canobolas Eggs expand significantly in the past few years. And the single-source egg producers have ensured not all of their eggs are in the one basket, with diversified production systems and markets. What started in 1955 by Ivo and Marie Peffer with six chooks on a small block of farm land, which is now western Sydney, has grown to a vertically integrated business running 130,000 laying chickens – with more to come – producing barn and cage eggs at their property at Molong in Central West NSW. The company and brand, Canobolas Eggs, was born out of the deregulation of the egg industry in the early 1990s.
